Construction is progressing on the Urapuntja Health Service Aboriginal Corporation Community Splash Park, with commissioning and completion anticipated in June 2026.
Designed to create a safe, engaging and inclusive recreational space for children, families and visitors, the splash park will provide a significant new community asset that supports wellbeing, outdoor activity and social connection across the Utopia region.
The project incorporates interactive water play features, shaded gathering areas, seating and supporting infrastructure, creating a destination where families can come together and children can play in a safe and welcoming environment.
A key feature of the facility is the inclusion of advanced UV filtration and automated water quality management systems. These technologies have been incorporated to support high standards of water hygiene, improve operational efficiency and provide a safer recreational experience for community members.
MK PMC is providing project management and contract administration services throughout delivery, working closely with Urapuntja Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, consultants and contractors to ensure the project achieves its intended outcomes for the community.
Once completed, the splash park will provide more than a recreational facility. It will create opportunities for connection, encourage healthy lifestyles and deliver a long-term community asset that can be enjoyed by future generations.
The project reflects MK PMC’s commitment to Building More Than Infrastructure by delivering projects that create lasting value for the people and communities they serve.
