Project Overview

The Community Splash Park Project is currently under construction and will deliver a significant recreational asset for the Utopia community.

Developed in partnership with Urapuntja Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, the project aims to create a safe, engaging and inclusive environment where children, families and visitors can gather, connect and enjoy outdoor recreation.

The facility has been designed to promote healthy lifestyles, support community wellbeing and provide a lasting community asset for future generations.

Project Scope

The splash park incorporates interactive water play features, shade structures, seating areas, supporting infrastructure and modern water treatment systems designed to provide a safe and enjoyable user experience.

Project Planning

Working with Urapuntja Health Service Aboriginal Corporation and key stakeholders to define project goals, approvals, delivery strategy and community engagement.

Design & Procurement

Coordinating design, consultants, procurement, tendering and contracts to prepare the project for construction.

Construction

Managing construction, contracts, budget, quality, safety, risk and stakeholder coordination throughout project delivery.

Completion & Handover

Coordinating commissioning and handover to deliver a safe, accessible community facility, while managing defects and supporting long-term performance.

Supporting Community Health and Safety

A key feature of the project is the integration of advanced UV filtration technology and automated water quality management systems.

These systems are designed to assist in maintaining high water quality standards by reducing harmful microorganisms and supporting safe recreational use.

Combined with controlled disinfection processes and ongoing monitoring systems, the facility has been designed with community health, safety and sustainability at the forefront.

MK PMC's Role

MK PMC is providing project management and contract administration services throughout the project lifecycle, including procurement, stakeholder engagement, program management, contract administration and project governance.

Working closely with the client, consultants and contractors, MK PMC continues to support the successful delivery of the project while ensuring quality, compliance and community outcomes remain central to decision-making.
